Brandi Glanville rushed to urgent care after trying TikTok trend: 'Don't listen'

Reality TV star Brandi Glanville has revealed she needed urgent medical care after a home remedy she found on TikTok went horribly wrong.

Glanville, 53, a former model turned TV star thanks to her six-season run in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, revealed on the latest episode of her podcast Brandi Glanville Unfiltered that she spent Easter getting a foreign object extracted from her body.

It is the latest medical drama for the former wife of Eddie Cibrian, who spent two years fighting for answers after her face became swollen and misshapen – something she initially blamed on a parasite infection.

Now, Glanville has revealed she suffered another health emergency earlier this month, requiring a trip to an urgent care medical centre.

"I got a piece of garlic stuck in my ear ... [so] on Easter I didn't do anything because of the garlic in my ear. I was trying to get it out," she said.

Glanville said she had caught a cold from her son and was attempting to find a home remedy when things went wrong.

"I was just trying to clear my sinuses," she said.

She claimed she stuck a garlic clove in her ear after seeing the suggestion online.

"It really went down further, and I had to go to urgent care the next day to get it out."

She said her son told her when he had a cold he placed a garlic clove in his nostril.

Glanville said she tried her nostril first but found the garlic "was burning too much, so I moved it to my ear".Watch the trailer for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 Reunion

She also gave advice to fans: "Don't listen to people online on TikTok or Instagram or Twitter or Facebook."

The mother-of-two recently overcame an almost three-year health battle which began in July 2023, when she started noticing swelling in her face.

She later claimed she lost five teeth and spent almost $100,000 on medical tests looking for answers and ways to treat what she believed was a parasite she caught while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco.

Among those to try to help was Dr Terry Dubrow of Botched fame, who blamed a bacterial or fungal infection from something foreign being injected into her face.Brandi Glanville

She turned to fans for medical advice before announcing earlier this year that her health woes had been caused by a silicone breast implant that had ruptured, causing the substance to leak into her body.

"I'm feeling petrified. Silicone was in all of my lymph nodes. This is actually much worse than I had expected," she said.

She told Inside Edition she had the 18-year-old implants removed during surgery and replaced with new ones.

She later told TMZ she believed her health problems stemmed from a combination of the silicone leaking in her body and a parasite.

"[My breasts] are completely ruptured, and I had silicone all over my lymph nodes, and that's what caused the infection in my face, and [it] couldn't get out because my lymph nodes were all clogged," she said

Glanville was married to US actor Eddie Cibrian from 2001 to 2010. They share two sons, Mason, 22, and Jake, 18.

They had an acrimonious break-up which worsened after his remarriage to singer LeAnn Rimes.

However, in recent years they have put their differences aside.
