Teyena Taylor speaks through tears
Teyena Taylor took home the first win of the night, being crowned best supporting actress in a film for her role in One Battle After Another.
When she took to the stage, the actress could barely hold it together.

"Our softness is not a liability," she said.
"Our depth is not too much. Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter. And our dreams deserve space."
Nikki Glaser delivers a hilarious monologue
Nikki Glaser has done it again.
For the second year in a row, the comedian has delivered the perfect awards show monologue taking aim at stars including Sean, George Clooney and Kevin Hart.
But the joke that seemed to get the crowd laughing the hardest was the one directed at none other than Hollywood heavyweight, Leonardo DiCaprio.
"What a career you've had. I mean, countless iconic performances. You've worked with every great director. You've won three Golden Globes, an Oscar. And the most impressive thing is that you were able to accomplish all of that before your girlfriend turned 30," Glaser joked.
"I mean, it's just insane. Leo, I'm sorry I made that joke. It's cheap. You know what? I tried not to, but we don't know anything else about you, man, like there's nothing else. Like, open up. Are you serious?

"I looked, I searched. The most in-depth interview you've ever given was in Teen Beat magazine in 1991. Is your favourite still pasta, pasta and more pasta? Look it up. That's real."
All eyes are on two 'unknown' stars
Just one month ago, the names Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie were basically unheard of in Hollywood.
But on today's red carpet, they're two of the most highly anticipated arrivals.
Williams and Storrie star in the viral hit HBO show Heated Rivalry, a six-episode Canadian sports romance that has captured the attention of millions around the world.
The pair have skyrocketed to fame over the past few weeks, going from relatively unknown to making major appearances on late nigth TV.
Today, the pair will even be presenting an award together at one of the industry's most prestigious events.
For the occasion, Hudson is wearing a loose-fitting, silky white button-up, while Storrie has stepped out in a more traditional tux.
The red carpet kicks off
The stars have started to arrive!
Overcompensating star, Mary Beth Barone, is the official red carpet correspondent for the event, sharing the news in a post made on Instagram just two days prior.
Gayle King, Dylan Efron and Brittany Snow were among the first stars to hit the red carpet.
Music icon Snoop Dogg has stepped out in a stylish black suit with an eye-catching pop of red.
Alicia Silverstone looks a vision in a stunning red gown, and The Bear star Ayo Edebiri has opted for an elegant off-shoulder design.
What to expect
The Golden Globes honour the best in film and television from the past year, but perhaps more interestingly, they also serve as a taster of what we might be able to expect from the upcoming Academy Awards.
Although a Golden Globe win doesn't always translate to an Oscar win, there is a clear pipeline between the two award shows.
Heading into this year's event, One Battle After Another leads the pack in terms of film nominations, followed closely by Sentimental Value and Sinners.
When it comes to TV, The White Lotus scored the most nominations, with limited series Adolescence also earning its fair share.
