Music superstar Susan Boyle makes shock return – with dramatic makeover

Susan Boyle is back with a brand-new look – and fans hope a brand-new sound as well.

The Britain's Got Talent star, 65, has seemingly returned after a years-long hiatus from music, building intrigue by wiping her Instagram account and then debuting a brand new look in a series of photos.

"A new era starts tomorrow," she teased, sharing photos of a glammed-up tracksuit and fur coat look, with an Anna Wintour-esque blonde bob and sunglasses.Susan Boyle returns with new look, 10 years after last album

Boyle labelled the post an ad, which certainly added to the confusion, but fans couldn't contain their excitement about her fashion-forward return – even high-profile ones.

"I dreamt this dream," Katy Perry wrote, referencing Boyle's famous cover of the Les Misérables song.

"Anna Wintour better sleep with one eye open!!!" another said.

"OK SUSAN J BLIGE LET'S GOOO," joked a third.

Her most recent release was Ten in 2019, a compilation album of mostly previously released songs.
