It may not seem so, but Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner have been in a committed relationship for three solid years, with the actor, 30, now professing his love for his partner, 28, on the world stage at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.
The very private couple have not spoken much about their union, but have been photographed together on many occasions showing their love for each other to the world. Here is how it all began.

January 2023
At the beginning of the year, Jenner split from her ex, rapper Travis Scott, who is also the father of her two children, Stormi and Aire.
She then happened to meet Chalamet at the Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show during Paris Couture Week.
A video of the pair laughing together was later circulated by celebrity gossip Instagram account Deuxmoi when in April 2023, they were rumoured to be in a relationship.

April 2023
Rumours of the actor and billionaire entrepreneur began in full force after Jenner's black Ranger Rover was spotted parked outside Chalamet's Beverly Hills home.
On April 13, the Little Women star was spotted leaving an art show in Santa Monica looking anxious and texting constantly on his phone, before hopping into the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star's Extended Lincoln Navigator, with security posted in the front.
They then headed to Tito's Taco stand for a secret parking lot date.
July 2023
Nothing makes a relationship more official than an ex chiming in.
In July, Travis Scott released his brand new album, with fans quickly picking up that the track Meltdown seemed to allude to Jenner's budding romance with actor Timothée Chalamet.
On the track, Scott raps, "Chocolate AP and chocolate the Vs (Vs), got the Willy Wonka factory (Vs) / Burn a athlete like it's calories, find another flame hot as me, bitch."
Of course, Chalamet is starring in the upcoming and highly-anticipated film Wonka. "AP" apparently refers to Audemars Piguet's luxury watches.
September 2023
As of September 4, 2023, Kylie and Timmy were no longer just rumours, making their public debut at a Beyonce concert.
The couple were filmed keeping close to each other, with TMZ even obtaining video of them kissing in their first PDA sighting.
On September 10, they were also seen kissing in the stands of the US Open.
Another subtle hint towards the relationship was seen when on September 21, ELLE Mexico captured photos of Jenner at Prada's fashion show, with her new beau on her lockscreen.

October 2023
The Call Me By Your Name actor touched on his relationship with his partner for the first time in an October 2023 interview with GQ.
The star first commented on his fans' interest in him and his love life, telling the outlet, "I can't say that this stuff doesn't matter, because my intense fandom has led me to where I am."
At the same time, he "bristles at the suggestion that he might not be entitled to a wholly private life," according to GQ's reporter Daniel Riley, who then suggested, "If he really wanted to be left alone, he might not spend time with one of the four most followed people on Instagram," referring to Jenner.
Chalamet then reportedly nodded at the comment, laughed, and replied that his position reminds him of the South Park episode with the Worldwide Privacy Tour, which parodies Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, as they tour the world demanding privacy.
"Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you're trying to live a private life," the actor said.
Days later, Jenner was interviewed by WSJ magazine, which mentioned in the article that the entrepreneur was not ready to speak on her new relationship, though she did mention that she loved his film Dune.
November 2023
The couple attended the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards on November 1, with Jenner honoured with a Brand Award and Chalamet presenting the film award to director Martin Scorsese.
The couple were captured by photographers sitting next to each other at the table during the dinner portion of the event.
January 2024
The couple opted to skip the red carpet of the Golden Globes on January 7, only to be captured inside the event, kissing at the table as they sat side by side. But the appearance wasn't free from drama.
A day later, Chalamet was forced to shut down rumours Selena Gomez had told Taylor Swift that Jenner had blocked her from taking a photo with the actor.
The Wonka actor responded to a TMZ reporter who followed him around and asked about the drama.
Chalamet said "yeah, of course" he and Gomez were cool, and said "no" when asked if Jenner and Gomez had any beef. He added of the three of them, "We're all good."
March 2024
Despite the relationship lasting about a year, Jenner still wasn't comfortable addressing Chalamet in interviews.
When asked by the New York Times about fan theories that dating Chalamet changed her style, she responded, "I don't know how I feel about that. I just don't want to talk about personal things." She avoided discussing him further.
August 2024
The reality star opened up about why she doesn't talk about her partner in an August interview with British Vogue.
"Privacy is so important to me in life," she said, noting it was mostly due to the fact she didn't have much of it growing up. "It feels so good," she remarked.
Jenner even shared her tip for how she went unnoticed when she went to see Chalamet in New York City with the help of a baseball cap: "There's an angle that you can do where they can't see your face, and I wear a mask."
October 2024
On October 1, Jenner received the family stamp of approval, being spotted talking to Chalamet's older sister, Pauline, when she attended a Coperni show that Jenner walked in. The pair later caught up after the show in Disneyland Paris, talking and exchanging a hug.
The mum-of-two further talked about her commitment to privacy, telling Elle on October 23, "I think it's important to keep things to yourself. It's hard for me to make a decision by myself sometimes, so the opinion of the whole world…it can be tough."
Early 2025
The 2025 awards season saw the couple at their most public yet.
While they may not have walked the red carpet together or at all, the lovebirds were often spotted together inside various ceremonies.
On January 5, they were snapped kissing at their table at the Golden Globes, then they were seen at the Grammys on January 31.
From there, they made appearances at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on February 11, at the Berlinale Palast on February 14, at the 2025 BAFTA Film on February 16, and at the Oscars on March 2.
After the hype of the awards season, the couple were spotted at the BNP Paribas Open on March 9 kissing in the stands, and all around Coachella in April.
April 2025
Jenner received the parental stamp of approval two years into her relationship, with Chalamet's mum Nicole Flender publicly commenting on her son's partner.
In an interview with Cubed, she shared, "I have to say she's lovely. She's very nice to me."
May 2025
The couple finally made their red carpet debut as they arrived hand-in-hand at the 70th David di Donatello ceremony, where Chalamet was being honoured with a Cinematic Excellence award.
The pair matched in black, with Jenner in a black sequinned halter neck gown and Calamet in a black velvet suit.
They posed comfortably, with the actor resting his hand on her hip as they faced the cameras.
November 2025
Chalamet made some of his first comments regarding the high-profile relationship
He dismissed questions relating to their romance during an interview with Vogue, insisting that while he wasn't afraid to speak on the topic, there was simply "nothing to say."
Some fans interpreted this to mean there was trouble in paradise and sparked breakup rumours.
He also spoke about being in a "new stage" of life as his friends marry and start families, admitting having kids "could be on the radar" for him in the coming years..
December 2025
On December 9, the couple shooed away breakup rumours, making a statement with matching orange looks as they attended the premiere of the actor's new movie, Marty Supreme.
The power couple showed up to the Los Angeles event in matching bright orange outfits, with Chalamet in a suit and shirt and Jenner in a figure-hugging Chrome Hearts dress with cutouts at the waist.
Both wore orange shoes to complete the look.
Chalamet hugged Jenner and pulled her close as paparazzi snapped photos of the pair on the carpet.
The outing was a rare one from the couple, who had only walked one other red carpet event together – the one they used to announce their relationship in May.
Later in the month, Chalamet made a cheeky reference to Jenner in a new rap song with his rumoured alter-ego, British rapper EsDeeKid.
On the Liverpool rapper's latest hit 4Raws, the actor rapped, "It's Timothée Chalamet chillin', tryin' to stack $100 million. Girl got $1 billion," referencing the fact Jenner became the world's youngest billionaire in 2020.
As the festive season arrived, a tiny detail in a Kardashian-Jenner Christmas photo seemed to prove the notoriously private couple may be going the distance.
Atiana De La Hoya, Travis Barker's stepdaughter, posted a photo on Instagram on December 26 of the reality TV family's gingerbread house.
The festive confectionery featured more than 20 names of the famous blended family, but one name in particular stood out.
A sugary tile with Chalamet's name sat directly above another with Jenner's name on it, proving the actor has officially been included in the famous family's Christmas traditions.
The names of Jenner's children Stormi and Aire, who she shares with Travis Scott, featured just below the couple's.
January 2026
Chalamet made his biggest and most public declaration of love yet, speaking directly to Jenner as the world watched on.
At the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, the star took home the top gong for his role in Marty Supreme, making sure to shout out one very important person.
Although Chalamet didn't directly name Jenner, it was clear who he was talking about as the camera panned to her in the audience.
"Thank you to my partner of three years," he began.
"Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn't do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Sat in the audience, Jenner could be seen mouthing "I love you" in response to the sweet shoutout.
The moment marked the first time the pair had spoken about their relationship in a public forum.
Chalamet's declaration shocked fans, with many not realising how long the pair had been seeing each other, and some even confused by his wording, including actress Amanda Seyfried.
