ARN, Nine join forces to launch new Karl Stefanovic and Eddie McGuire show: 'We are both ready to disrupt the status quo'
Karl Stefanovic and Eddie McGuire are joining forces for a new show to be available through Nine and the Australian Radio Network (ARN).
In the multi-platform arrangement, the two Aussie media giants will co-host a weekly radio program and vodcast called The Long Weekend.
The show will cover the biggest news, sport and entertainment stories of the week, and is "designed to be full of opinion, energy, and perspective."
Longtime friends Stefanovic and McGuire say they're excited for the opportunity to share the airwaves.
"We are both ready to disrupt the status quo and let me tell you, we'll have plenty of fun along the way. God, don't we all need that," the Today host said in a press release.
"Karl and I have been talking about working together for years, and to do it on this scale ... is a once in a career opportunity," McGuire, the former Collingwood Football Club president, added.
"Karl is one of my closest mates in the industry. Now we get to do this together. Off we go."

Amanda Laing, Nine Managing Director, Streaming and Broadcast, said the pair's respective commitments with Nine remain unchanged.
"Nine has a deep commitment to audio through podcasting and vodcasting and it makes perfect sense for two of Nine's talent to have their new show streamed on their home network," Laing said.
"Karl and Eddie are great broadcasters and we look forward to showcasing The Long Weekend, adding to the expanding content available to our audiences on 9Now and Stan."
The show, launching on June 19, marks a major new chapter for Stefanovic, who launched his podcast The Karl Stefanovic Show in January.
Per ARN, The Long Weekend is a three-hour format with "great music, unmissable banter, big personalities, big opinions, and no-holds-barred discussions that will set the tone for the weekend ahead."
It will be broadcast globally via iHeart and in Australia via the GOLD Network, and will also be available as a vodcast on 9Now and Stan from 19 June 2026 through to December 2026.
The show will be available to stream on the platforms within 24 hours of going to air.
