Margot Robbie reveals details the internet has gotten wrong about her 'the whole time'
Margot Robbie has revealed the internet has been wrong about one major part of her life.
The Wuthering Heights actress revealed that the internet has gotten her birthplace wrong "the whole time."
"They say I was born in Dalby, which is where my family is from, but I wasn't, I was born on the Gold Coast," she told Magic FM.
"It's not a stupid rumour, it's just amazing that this far along, it's still incorrect."
As far as we know, Robbie grew up on the Gold Coast, but reports often say she was born in Dalby before her family moved to the coastal city, a rumour she has now shut down.
Robbie is a proud Queenslander, with a long history of charitable donations to foundations in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
The Aussie first rose to fame for her portrayal of character Donna Freedman on the iconic soap, Neighbours.

She also worked as a sandwich artist for Subway in Queensland, well before hitting the big time.
More recently, the actress has been strutting her stuff on the red carpets - a far cry away from a Queensland Subway.
She was also spotted in London on Tuesday, attending the 1536 play press night and after-party in the city.
For the occasion, the actress, 35, turned heads in a look we haven't seen her in before: a black and gold embellished military jacket by Alexander McQueen.
Detailed jackets from the designer typically cost around $7000.
Robbie's jacket featured gold detailing across the chest and on the arms, finished with long coattails.
The Oscar nominee teamed the look with a matching small bag from the designer, a black Manta clutch that retails for upwards of $2550.
She wore a pair of black flared trousers and pointed heels.
Robbie, who recently chopped her hair into a bob and dyed her bright blonde a darker colour, showed off a fuller fringe and wore her hair half up and half down.
Her makeup included layers of bronzer and blush and a pop of colour on her lips.
Just a week ago, Robbie was at the Met Gala 2026 in New York and led the Aussie stars at the event.
The likes of Hugh Jackman, Miranda Kerr and Nicole Kidman were also in attendance.
Robbie is a Chanel ambassador and stunned in a pale gold gown from the fashion house, which according to Vogue took 761 hours to make.
