Millie Bobby Brown may have revealed her daughter's secret name in new beach selfie

Millie Bobby Brown may have just revealed her baby girl's name thanks to one telling detail.

The Stranger Things actress, 22, who welcomed her first child via adoption with husband Jake Bongiovi, 23, shared a sunny bikini selfie while wearing a dainty silver necklace with the name 'Ruth' hanging off the chain.

Fans were quickly convinced the silver charm was a sweet nod to their nine-month-old daughter.

In the beach snap shared to Instagram, the actress posed make-up free while wearing a yellow bikini accessorised with a gold waist chain and layered necklaces.

The name Ruth also belonged to the star's late grandmother. She also has the name tattooed on her ribcage.

But one look at the new necklace had fans believing she had passed down the name to her daughter.

"Her necklace says Ruth! Baby name??!!" one fan was quick write in the comments section.

"Your daughter's name is Ruth!!! So cute!!" said a second but not everyone was convinced.

"No, Ruth is her grandmother's name; the baby's name is Rue, it's very similar, it must be in honour of the grandmother," one follower pointed out.

"Rue can be short for Ruth. A nickname maybe?" a fourth argued.

While another fan commented: "Whatever name you pick it's gonna be perfect ? We're all so proud of you and can't wait to meet the baby."

Brown and Bongiovi, son of rockstar Jon Bon Jovi, welcomed their first child via adoption in August last year.

Just as they were married in a private ceremony in May 2024, the parents have so far kept the identity of their daughter private.

"We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy," the couple wrote in a social media statement at the time.

Brown gained recognition for her starring role as Eleven in the Duffer brothers' sci-fi series Stranger Things.

The fifth and final season aired in December last year, a culmination of nine years of the show's production.

The British actor has pursued other acting and business ventures in that time, including two Enola Holmes films, a Godzilla film and dystopian sci-fi film The Electric State also produced by the Duffer brothers.

Bongiovi is the son of Jon Bon Jovi, founder and frontman of the rock band Bon Jovi.

Brown stressed the importance of family during the 2024 premiere of her Netflix film Damsel, where Bongiovi and his parents were in attendance.

"I'm just so lucky that they're here tonight and it just means so much to me," Brown told The Associated Press then.

"Family is everything and just to have my second family here means everything."
