Miranda Kerr lifts the lid on Victoria's Secret runway prep: 'It's quite funny when you look back at it'
Miranda Kerr has lifted the lid on one wild Victoria's Secret routine models underwent prior to shows.
The Aussie supermodel, who was a Victoria's Secret Angel from 2006-2013, shared that the models' signature washboard abs were largely enhanced by smoke-and-mirrors makeup techniques.
Speaking on Bec Judd's Vain-Ish podcast, Kerr revealed that prior to shows, heavy body makeup and strategically-placed spray tanning was applied to their abs.

"With our spray tan, we literally [had] a brush and people would contour the darker tan on there," she recalled.
"It's spraying more abs on, and it's quite funny when you look back at it, but it kind of works."
The very first Australian Victoria's Secret Model, Kerr rose to fame in the mid-2000's during the height of the brand's use of traditionally smaller models – and often felt the pressures of maintaining that image.

Kerr said she often intensified her gym routines prior to shows to become 'runway-ready', and went for runs when typically she had not considered herself a "natural runner."
"I was very consistent with my routine, just doing things that I didn't necessarily love, like running," she reflected, revealing she'd work out at least six times per week during this period.
"I'm not a natural runner, but I did get into it more whereas I prefer more like yoga and Pilates."
Kerr then got candid about the mindset shift that occurred during pregnancy, where she came to terms with the idea she may never return to the pre-pregnancy body she'd modelled with.
"I feel like [pregnancy] has given me a deeper appreciation for my body," she revealed.
"I remember when I was pregnant with Flynn just thinking, 'if my body doesn't go back to what it was, then I'm okay with that, I'm at peace with that.'"
She said that she had felt so connected to the process of growing life that she "no longer felt attached" to how her body appeared on the outside.
When discussing this experience with hosts Judd and Jess Roberts, she agreed that the external pressure to return to her previous size was nothing compared to the "empowerment," she felt giving birth to her first child.
Kerr welcomed son Flynn, whom she shares with ex-husband Orlando Bloom, in 2011.
Since the pair's split in 2013, they have maintained a close co-parenting relationship.
