'We'll see': Robert Irwin reveals relationship status as he brings Mirrorball home
Robert Irwin has officially touched back down on Aussie shores, following a triumphant stint on hit competition show Dancing with the Stars.
Speaking to The Today Show, he reflected on how it feels to be back on home soil – and alluded to the potential for romance in the year to come.
Irwin, who was crowned the winner of Dancing with the Stars 2025, was previously shown introducing Australia Zoo's newest addition – The Mirrorball Trophy – to its furry residents, and hinted at what might be on the cards in regards to his love life.
Taking after his father, famed crocodile hunter Steve Irwin, the young zookeeper has well and truly tangoed his way into the hearts and minds of international audiences, securing himself a besotted fanbase in the process.
So it'll be big news to many that Robert, who has historically opted for privacy where his love life is concerned, has revealed he is currently single.
Upon being prompted by Today hosts to discuss his current relationship status, the young zookeeper disclosed that there was "nothing particularly exciting to report" on that subject.
"I wish there was more I could give you, there's nothing much going on."

"But we'll see," he went on to add.
The star jokingly referenced his family's penchant towards American tourists, with both his late father and sister Bindi, as we know, going on to marry their respective spouses after their initial visits to Australia Zoo.
"I'm back in Australia Zoo, it's where my mum and dad met, it's where my sister and her husband met," Irwin recalled.
"Our whole family ends up meeting [their partners] at Australia Zoo."

So it stands to reason that the rising television personality is currently open to meeting his future flame at his home base, too.
The star's last public relationship was with the niece of actor Heath Ledger, Rorie Buckley.
The pair dated for two years, before announcing their split in a joint statement in 2024.
Since then, Irwin has remained private in regards to his love life, but has spoken about the difficulties of dating in the public eye.
Reflecting on his time away from the Irwin-run conservation park where he lives with mum Terri and sister Bindi, he revealed that despite his growing success overseas, there's no place quite like home.
"Being home, it feels like a drink of water in the desert honestly," he said of his grand return Down Under.
"I don't care where I go, what I'm doing, whether I'm out there dancing or whatever it is, coming back coming back here to Australia Zoo is where my heart beats from.
"It just fills the tank ya know."
In an Instagram post shared shortly after his arrival, Irwin was seen showing off his freshly-acquired DWTS Mirrorball Trophy to various zoo inhabitants, including a koala, cockatoo and boa constrictor.
It is only the second time an Australian has won the US iteration of Dancing with the Stars – with the first Aussie title being claimed by his trend-setting sister in 2015.
