Abbie Chatfield to guest host KIIS FM's breakfast show amid Kyle and Jackie O's court battle
Abbie Chatfield is set to guest-host KIIS FM's breakfast slot this week, in a bold move that no one predicted.
Chatfield will host the filler breakfast program alongside current stand-in Mike E from Monday to Sunday, as the network continues to rotate hosts following the axing of The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
"I'm so excited to jump in with the KIIS Breakfast crew for the week," Chatfield said in a statement. "Breakfast radio is fast, fun, and full-on in the best way, so I think I'll be a perfect fit! I can't wait to get on air."
The move comes as a surprise, as the outspoken influencer previously had a public falling out with Kyle Sandilands which lasted two years.
Chatfield was upset by Sandilands' comments about her in a radio segment with rapper Yung Gravy and Brittany Hockley in 2022.
"I have a bit of a relationship beginning with Abbie Chatfield," Yung Gravy said on air.
Kyle replied, "oh Jesus, you and everyone else, line up my friend, line up".

He then made further comments implying Chatfield had sent nude photos of herself to several people.
Chatfield addressed the comments on her podcast, It's A Lot.
"It was quite f--ked and it really upset me," she said at the time.
"The issue that people like Kyle and Brittany have with me is that I'm able to speak about sexuality in a way that isn't shameful, and they think that that must equate to f--king around every single day and having sex every single day.
"Actually, it's just that I don't have the shame that they have and therefore they're projecting it on to me."
Hockley later apologised to Chatfield in an Instagram post, however, it took much longer for the podcast host to bury the hatchet with Sandilands.
In 2024, Chatfield's boyfriend, Adam Hyde, went on The Kyle and Jackie O Show to promote his newest song at the time.
During the show, Kyle mentioned that he didn't think Chatfield was a big fan of his, with Jackie O suggesting they call her live on air to put an end to the beef.
During their broadcasted phonecall, Chatfield said she wasn't happy about his previous comments about her.
"I just didn't like the way that you and Brittany spoke about me in a kind of a slut-shaming way," she to him at the time.
"I think you just say things a lot of the time, Kyle, and it has damaging effects to people who are listening."
"The whole conversation around it made me really upset and really uncomfortable and Yung Gravy actually messaged me after (the 2022 interview) and said, 'That was a really weird, really uncomfortable interview because of how they spoke about you.'"
Sandilands apologised to her, saying: "I don't want you to think that I think you're some sort of s--g, because I don't."
He added that he heard she had "carried on" about him on her podcast.
"I didn't carry on," Abbie replied.
"I spoke about it because my fear is that people listening will start to speak about other women that way and not understand why that's wrong."
Sandilands went on to give an apology that didn't go down well with Chatfield, saying: "I don't think you're really worried about the other women. I think you thought, 'what a p---k this guy is,' and if you did think that, then I am sorry."
After Chatfield questioned his apology, and following prompting from Jackie, Sandilands issued a new apology on air.
"I'm sorry that if my harsh words implied that I was slut-shaming … but regardless of whether I meant it or didn't … if it offended you, I'm sorry," he said.
She reluctantly accepted the apology, adding it was "as good as it's going to get" from the radio host.
Chatfield has not yet addressed her week-long appointment on the radio show on her social media.
She is the most recent guest host of the breakfast program, which has been cycling through radio host until it finds a permanent replacement for The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
The Kyle and Jackie O Show was pulled off the air after a now-infamous argument between the hosts on February 20.
It led the Australian Radio Network (ARN) to terminate the pair's $200 million contract.
Both parties have since filed separate legal action against ARN Media, with Sandilands arguing his termination was unlawful and that he be returned to work on the show for the remainder of his 10-year contract, due to end in December 2034.
Henderson has filed an $82.25 million suit against ARN, alleging her termination from her KIIS FM radio show with Sandilands was against the Fair Work Act.
