Bad Bunny's quiet Instagram move hours after Super Bowl show leaves 52 million fans scratching their heads
Hours after dazzling the world with his Super Bowl performance, Bad Bunny has quietly wiped his Instagram account clean, leaving 52 million fans scratching their heads.
The Puerto Rican musician, 31, has deleted all his posts and his profile photo on the platform, also unfollowing all accounts.
All that's left on the singer's page, which is followed by 52 million accounts, is a link to his album Debí Tirar Más Fotos in his bio.
It's a mysterious move, and one we've seen before from stars including Taylor Swift, for whom it was the early sign of a new upcoming project.
Naturally, there's plenty of speculation as to why Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) purged his account.
Some suspect the Grammy winner has new music in the works, while others speculate it could be tied to negative response to his halftime show at the Super Bowl.
While the show, performed entirely in Spanish – Ocasio's first language – has won plenty of acclaim, there's also been criticism, with US president Donald Trump labelling it "absolutely terrible".

"It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn't represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
"Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World."
The Hispanic population is the largest minority group in the US, where more than one in five people spoke a language other than English at home between 2017 and 2021, the most popular of which was Spanish, according to the US Census Bureau.
Ocasio's upbeat performance was a surprisingly star-studded one, with singers Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin unveiled as surprise vocalists.
The Grammy winner was also joined on stage by stars including Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal and Cardi B.
There was also a romantic twist, with a real-life couple marrying on stage during the performance.
