Bec Judd fires back at troll who questions her career and claims she promotes 'insecurities in women'

Bec Judd has delivered a blistering clapback to a social media troll who took aim at her career and accused her of "promoting insecurities" in women.

The 43-year-old – who hosts the Vain-Ish podcast which explore areas of beauty culture – shared a screenshot of the interaction on her Instagram Stories this week.

"Bec Judd amazes me. She's clearly an intelligent person, yet she chooses to spend her time and energy on frivolous content that promotes perfection and insecurities in women," the commenter claimed.

''I do wonder whether she would ever consider a career in something where her look is not celebrated. A career which is more about her skill and professionalism rather than anything that requires promotion."

Judd, who is married to AFL great Chris Judd, decided to respond by sharing a list of some of the accomplishments she's achieved that some may not realise.

"Oh you mean like when I wrote a book, or when I hosted a national radio show, or when I worked as a speech pathologist at The Alfred treating patients with traumatic brain injuries, or when I developed a functional assessment tool for head injuries?'' Judd began.

''Or when I hosted a travel program, or when I founded one of Australia's leading activewear companies, or when I worked on a research paper about how to best assess PTA, or when I travelled to nursing homes treating elderly patients for dysphagia, or when I presented the weather for 9News?"Bec Judd details no-frills upbringing

She added: "Let me know which one of those careers makes you feel the least amount of jealousy towards me?"

"Yes. I am amazing and a little bit vain too."

Judd co-founded her own activewear line called Jaggad, and is also an influencer and model, bosting more than 756,000 followers on Instagram.

Judd, who previously gave her listeners of her podcast a run down of the cosmetic procedures she's had done, revealed on her Vain-Ish podcast that she had a no-frills upbringing.

"We're not silver spooners. We never had a new school uniform, they were always hand-me-downs from friend's older siblings," she said on the podcast.
