Brooklyn Beckham enjoys world's most expensive wine as rumours swirl about wife's 'allowance'
Just a week after releasing a bombshell statement claiming he and his wife want "peace and privacy", Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham raised eyebrows by posting images of a recent getaway.
But what really set tongues wagging was the fact they were drinking a bottle of what is often dubbed "the world's most expensive wine".
It also raises questions of just how the young couple funds such an extravagant lifestyle, amid rumours about the monthly allowance Nicola receives from her billionaire father.

It was just over a week ago that Brooklyn, 26, the eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham, dropped an atomic bomb on his parents' carefully curated image.
In a six-page post he uploaded to his Instagram Story, Brooklyn took aim at his famous parents over their alleged controlling ways and "performative social media posts".
He accused his parents of "trying endlessly to ruin" his relationship with wife Nicola, 31, whom he married in 2022, and let loose with a host of accusations levelled at his mother about how she tried to upend their wedding day, including hijacking his "first dance with my wife" and dancing "very inappropriately on me in front of everyone".
As the dust settled and life went back to normal for "Brand Beckham", it appears Nicola this week tried to do some hijacking herself, uploading a series of photos of their romantic getaway to her Instagram account.

Many saw the timing of her video as a deliberate attempt to take the spotlight away from Victoria as she travelled to Paris with the rest of her family to receive the prestigious award from the French the Ministry of Culture for significant contributions to the arts.
Nicola has since uploaded two more posts containing a cache of photos from the trip, as has Brooklyn.
But what really raised eyebrows was images of bottles of wine Brooklyn shared in his post.
He included a photo of two dusty bottles of Château d'Yquem wine.
The one on the right was from the 1831 vintage, which sells for about $34,000 a bottle.
The one on the left appears even older, and according to The Sun newspaper, could be from the 1811 vintage, which in the past has fetched up to $147,000.
Then there was the accommodation itself.
The Daily Mail reports the couple was holed up in San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito – not far from where another couple lives who famously severed ties with their family – Meghan and Harry.
The average cost of a stay there is $5700 a night.
It begs the question: Just how do they afford this lifestyle?
The answer may come in the rumoured allowance Nicola, who describes herself as an actor/writer/director, receives from her billionaire father, Nelson Peltz.
Overnight, a podcaster claimed the starlet receives an astonishing $1.47 million monthly allowance from her dad.
Page Six reported that The Rest Is Entertainment podcast co-host Marina Hyde made the startling claim this week.
"From what I hear, I think [David and Victoria Beckham] give Brooklyn a lot of money, but not insane money, and they kind of have this dream to some degree that he will stand on his own two feet and become independent," she said.
"I hear that [Nelson] said to [Victoria and David], 'I give my daughter a million dollar [a] month allowance. Why don't you?'"
However, the claim has since been denied by a source who told Page Six, "The quote in question has no source because it is not true.

"It is simply a fabricated rumour made up from thin air."
However, it is not the first time it has been reported that one of the reasons for Brooklyn's falling out with his parents was money.
He alluded so himself in last week's statement in which he said he did not want to reconcile with his family.
"Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children," he wrote.
"They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because then the terms of the deal would be initiated.
"My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since."
There have also been a number of other media reports quoting sources who said Brooklyn fell out with his parents when they refused his request for a large amount of money so he and Nicola could buy their dream home.
According to The Sun, the Beckhams' refusal led Nicola's parents to accuse them of being "tight with cash".
The Sun quoted an insider who said, "Money, so the saying goes, is the root of all evil. Certainly, in the case of the Beckhams v Peltzes, it's proven tricky.
"David and Victoria are two working-class kids done good.
"When it came to buying this house, of course they weren't just going to hand their son millions of pounds – what sort of message does that send?"
It is not known if the falling out was over a more recent purchase or the house the couple bought a month before their wedding. They sold that mansion soon after and moved back into Nicola's LA apartment.
