Czech Republic Prepare for a Historic Knights of Rizal Assembly

July 20, 2025 – Prague, Czech Republic - The Knights of Rizal of the Czech Republic will host its upcoming European Regional Assembly on October 3,4, and 5 at Dou Hotel in Prague, bringing together its high-ranking members and guests from across the globe to reaffirm the organization’s commitment to patriotism and civic duty.
Knights of Rizal is the oldest Filipino organization in Prague, started when there were only 32 Filipinos living in the country, which is now about 12,000. The organization is the only one recognized by the Philippine government as the only civic organization in the Philippines created by law—Republic Act No. 646 (1951).
The upcoming event this October will be the second time that the Czech Republic will hold the historic Regional Assembly.
In 2006, the 4th ERA hosted by the Czech Republic, Prague and Litomerice rolled its red carpet and opened the Glam Palace to welcome the visiting Knights; the Palace of the Ministry of Culture, and two of its largest river boat cruises along the Vyltava were moments to remember. The Rizal Museum in LItomerice was inaugurated, and the Bishop of Litomirice made a very special service and rare salutation of the Order. He personally played the organ at the Cathedral. The attendance of 264 Guests was dubbed as the largest Filipino gathering in record when there were only 36 Filipinos living Czech Republic then. No Filipino, at the time, ever lived in Litomerice. It was remarkable, Sir Noubikko Ulanday, KGOR, the Area Commander, exclaimed.

Knights of Rizal have been a strong organization in the Czech Republic, tested by time. Eighteen years since 2007 is enough to measure a litmus test, Sir Noubikko Ulanday added..
