Puerto Princesa Project Gains Global Momentum with Strategic Meeting in Bern, Switzerland

Bern, Switzerland – August 28,  2025.  The Puerto Princesa MICE Project (Meeting Incentive, Convention & Exhibition continues to build international support following a successful visit by Louis Durand , CEO of Ceres Ingenium , and Noubikko Ulanday, CEO of RPConnect with a meeting with H.E. Jose Arthur Dy, the Philippine Ambassador to Switzerland in Bern.

The meeting highlighted the Legacy Project of Mayor Lucilo “Bayron” for Puerto Princesa, Palawan, designed to transform the city into an ambitious sustainable hub for eco-tourism, green infrastructure and international partnerships.

 

Durand and Ulanday, representing as head of the Project Consortium, presented the initiative’s scope—spanning socio-cultural development and international cooperation.  They emphasized that Puerto Princesa, often called the “Last Frontier of the Philippines,” is uniquely positioned to be a global model for heritage-based economic development.

 

Ambassador Dy warmly welcomed the delegates and expressed interest in Switzerland’s role in investment cooperation, and institutional knowledge-sharing.  A key outcome of the Bern dialogue was the exploration of hosting the next Investors Meeting to be held in Geneva in 2026, which would mark a significant step in institutionalizing the Project’s global momentum.  A forum on October 2,3 and 4 2025 in Prague, Czech Republic, hosted by RPConnect and the Ministry of Business and Trade will launch the first requisite  for the upcoming Business Forum in Switzerland sometime next year.

“Our mission is to secure international partnerships that will protect Palawan’s natural treasures while positioning Puerto Princesa as a global hub for innovation and heritage,” added Noubikko Ulanday.

“The MICE Project of Mayor Bayron is more than a local development initiative—it is a call for nations to unite around sustainability, culture, and future-oriented growth,” said Louis Durand, CEO of Ceres Ingeus.
