'My heart is shattered, and so is our daughter's': Jake Hall's ex Misse Beqiri pays tribute after 'unbearable' tragedy

Missé Beqiri has shared a heartbreaking tribute to her former partner, Jake Hall, following the British reality star's sudden death in Spain at the age of 35.

The model and Ladies of London cast member shared a lengthy statement on Instagram, saying both she and the pair's eight-year-old daughter, River, were struggling to process the loss.

"I never thought I would ever have to write this, and the pain of even putting these words down feels unbearable," she wrote.

"There was no way you were ever supposed to go. My heart is shattered, and so is our daughter's."

Beqiri described Hall as someone who "lit up every room," adding, "The way you loved music, how deeply you felt every sound, your creativity, your mind, your spirit. 

"You were so deeply loved by so many people, and seeing the love everyone has for you is both heartbreaking and beautiful all at once."

She also opened up about Hall's close bond with their daughter, writing that River "adored" her dad.

"Together, we created the most beautiful girl, the one you loved more than anything in this world, beyond words," she continued.

"Your love for her was so strong it almost scared me, because I knew you would go to the ends of the earth for her.

"You will be missed. I promise to keep River safe, loved, and wrapped in the kind of love you gave so effortlessly. You are at peace now. … You left behind your mini version, our River, and for that we are forever grateful.

"You will always live on through her, and you will forever be with us."

Alongside the tribute, Beqiri shared a series of family photos, including an artwork of Hall walking hand-in-hand with their daughter.

Hall died earlier this week while staying at a holiday villa in Majorca, Spain. Police were reportedly called to the property around 7.30am local time after he was found with fatal injuries.

According to reports from The Sun, investigators are examining whether the former The Only Way is Essex cast memember suffered these fatal injuries in a tragic accident involving a glass door following a night out. No arrests have been made.

The outlet later reported sources close to the investigation said the worst of his injuries "was a chest wound from a shard of glass after smashing into a door". 

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office said in a statement: "We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities."

Shortly after news of his death emerged, Beqiri's representative released a statement asking for privacy on behalf of the family.

"At this time, Missé's focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this devastating loss," the statement read.

Beqiri and Hall welcomed their daughter in November 2017 and got engaged in May 2018, though they split shortly after.

The former The Real Housewives of Cheshire star is also the mother of son Julian from her marriage to ex-husband Anders Lindegaard.

Hall rose to fame after joining The Only Way is Essex in 2015 alongside then-girlfriend Chloe Lewis. Outside reality television, he also worked in fashion, influencing and art.

Before his death, Hall shared a cryptic message on Instagram.

"Life is boll---s sometimes but I'm gonna try remember the good things - ✨⚡️ looking through things - I'm just making art - in many forms," it read.

Tributes flowed in underneath the post, with Ferne McCann writing: "Ahhh Jake. What a creative cool cat you are. I'm deeply sad and i'll miss seeing your paintings, dancing and just utter coolness on Insta."

The Only Way is Essex has also paid tribute to the late star, saying Hall had been "part of the TOWIE family for a number of years" and sending condolences to his loved ones.
