'We'll warn each other': Patricia Arquette reveals why she doesn't get competitive with her famous siblings

EXCLUSIVE: Patricia Arquette's not just a veteran actress, after making her big screen debut as a teen in 1987's A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, but she's also part of an acting dynasty.

The now 57-year-old is the daughter of actor Lewis Arquette and has famous acting siblings Rosanna Arquette, 66; Richmond Arquette, 62; and David Arquette, 54 (their late sibling Alexis, who died in 2016, was also an actress).

Returning to her horror roots in the new movie They Will Kill You, which is being released soon after David's movie Scream 7, Patricia tells nine.com.au there isn't any competition between the siblings at the box office.

"No, we don't, we don't," she says.

"We're fourth generation actors, and now my daughter's [Harlow Jane] acting, and my niece is acting, she's in the new Dracula [Roseanna Arquette's daughter Zoë Bleu Sidel] - they're fifth generation – so it's kind of our jobs.

"Sometimes we'll talk to each other about struggles that we're having, or we'll give each other suggestions of certain things, or we'll warn each other about certain people, but that's kind of it."

And the Oscar and Golden Globe-winning actress' family bonds spread far and wide.

Arquette, known to fans more recently for her Emmy-nominated role in hit TV drama Severance, is also working on a new project with her former sister-in-law Courteney Cox, called Evil Genius.

Patricia's star status is undeniable, with many members of They Will Kill You's all-star cast, which also includes Heather Graham, Tom Felton and Bullet Train's Zazie Beetz, were in awe of working alongside her.

Graham tells nine.com.au she was left her "pinching yourself a little bit" to work alongside the acting icon.

"I'm obsessed with Patricia, so I was a little nerdy fan," she says.

"Her career, everything she's done and then I mean, the way she's transformed herself into all these different roles... I was a nerdy fan, that was pretty embarrassing.

It was a similar experience for the movie's director Kirill Sokolov, who found himself directing his teen crush.

"It's my first Hollywood movie, and I saw all these people through my entire life being just a movie fan, and now I suddenly found myself on a set as a colleague, working with them, and of course, I was melting with Patricia," he admits with a laugh to nine.com.au.

"Specifically, it was so hard because she's like – I think when boys and kids saw True Romance, Patricia immediately becomes their crush, and she was my crush when I was kid.

"So it was like, 'no, we are colleagues. Now, keep calm, just work, work' but it was very exciting. It just pure joy and happiness."

According to Graham, Beetz fessed up to a crush while on-set too.

"Zazie had a moment where she told Tom that she had a crush on him as a kid," she recalls.

Myha'la could completely relate.

"The day I met Tom Felton as well, I was like [mimics mouth open and gawping], because I grew up on Harry Potter, it's really cool," she says.

They Will Kill You is out in cinemas across Australia now.
