It is unclear what he was hospitalised for, or how long he has been in the hospital.
Malik is slated to start his first solo headline arena tour in North America in June.
The hospitalisation comes amid reports that he and his former bandmate Louis Tomlinson got involved in a physical altercation while filming a show for Netflix, which was confirmed in October 2025, as per Variety.
The two One Direction stars were reportedly cast in a reunion road-trip docuseries that aimed to heal their relationship and explore their grief after the passing of their bandmate Liam Payne.

Tomlinson, 34, was then reportedly taken to hospital for treatment after suffering a concussion.
The incident occurred six months ago, according to the outlet, and led to the cancellation of the show.
Neither Malik nor Tomlinson commented on the cancellation, but the director in charge of the project, Nicola Marsh, recently shared a picture of The US Sun's headline along with the comment, "And there goes the last year of work."
