Dubai-based radio star tipped to replace Kyle Sandilands

Dubai-based radio personality Kris Fade could replace Kyle Sandilands at the Australian Radio Network (ARN), according to industry experts.

Hosts of RadioToday and industry veterans Jen Seyderhelm and Steve Ahern, revealed the "fascinating hot tip" regarding the potential replacement for Sandilands in an episode posted on April 9.

Seyderhelm tells Ahern that during the global Radio Days summit in March, Fade was asked by presenter John Simons if he had been approached by the network following Sandilands axing.Kris Fade and Brianna Fade in Sydney

"Simons asked Kris whether or not he had been approached by ARN, and Kris said 'no comment,'" Seyderhelm explained.

"It gets better, that by itself is the same as Kyle stirring the pot, but before radio days, Kris' family moved to Sydney."

"And, Kris Fade is currently in Sydney... it might not be right away, but I think there is definitely something to see here."

"He is extraordinarily talented and has many strings to his bow."

Nine.com.au reached out to Fade, who responded to our enquiry, but did not confirm or deny the news.

Fade's wife, Brianna Ramirez (now Brianna Fade), and his son have, in fact, moved to Sydney, with Brianna posting photos of her and her son at the Sydney Royal Easter Show just four days ago.

Interestingly, Fade already has a history with KIIS FM, with the network picking up the Australian-focused version of his show on weekends in 2018.

The network picked up The Chris Fade Show Around Australia nationally on Sundays in 2018, which aired every Sunday for a few years.Kris Fade and Brianna Fade in Sydney

He still has a presence on Australian airways, but through his podcast, rather than on an Australian radio station.

Fade is an Australian national who found success in the Middle East with his radio show, The Kris Fade Show, which is based in Dubai.

His radio show, produced by Virgin Radio, is the biggest and most listened to radio show in the entire region.

Fade also featured in Netflix's reality show Dubai Bling alongside his wife.

If he does move his show to ARN, questions remain over whether they can offer a pay packet appealing enough to the wealthy Dubai socialite.

ARN pulled the $200 million deal they had with Jackie O Henderson and Kyle Sandilands over a now-infamous on-air blow-up.

Questions linger over how the deal was profitable for the network while the hosts prepare to face off with their former employers in court.
