'It's hit a boiling point': Abbie Chatfield's boyfriend Adam Hyde reveals he's received violent threats amid their romance

Abbie Chatfield's boyfriend Adam Hyde has revealed he's received vile death threats and threats to be ''bashed'' in the street due to their relationship.

The Peking Duk musician, who performs solo under the name Keli Holiday, detailed two recent incidences during an appearance on her LiSTNR podcast It's a Lot with Abbie Chatfield.

One took place as Hyde, 36, was walking down the street near their home, and another when he was filling up petrol in his car and had a bit of a meet-and-greet with fans.

He's chosen to discuss the issue publicly as it's gotten a bit much.

"It's kind of hit a boiling point now where I feel the need to address it. I mean, twice in the last week and a half I've been threatened with violence in real life, in the street," he began.

In the first incident, abuse was hurled at the Dancing2 singer from two passing cars.

"One car came past and I just heard yelling, and they were screaming homophobic slurs, really, really bad words mixed with death threats, bashing threats, all in the one," he said.

"It was a full car... I was confused first and foremost, and I looked around, I was the only one on the street.

"Then another car came behind them and started doing the same thing. A convoy of incels were like, 'We're gonna f--king kill you, bro, you f--king...' saying crazy words that I don't want to repeat."

During the petrol station incident, where he had earlier met nice fans who were surprised to see him pumping gas, he fielded another threat from a car of boys.Keli Holiday chats viral song Dancing2

"'We're gonna bash ya!'" he recalled them saying, which scared one of the nice fans.

"It left me feeling like s--t. It left me feeling f--king s--t. How has this come to this? What are we doing here?

"A few words online then leads to this? For what? Because I love my girlfriend.

"Honestly, tell me why you got hate for me. Give me one good reason. It doesn't make any sense."

Chatfield said the incidents have ''disturbed both of us'', adding it was ''the result of violence online.''

Hyde and Chatfield confirmed their romance in 2024.

The reality TV star-turned-podcaster previously shared an open "love letter" to Hyde, writing in one post: "I'm crying looking at these film photos while Adam is playing a gig so pls accept my love letter to Adam as a sign to dump that loser who makes you feel like you aren't easy to love."

"Or that can't commit to you or that doesn't really care to actually know you or won't be romantic or won't communicate or makes you feel like you're too much or doesn't take their part of the mental load or just doesn't make you laugh so hard you can't make sound!!!!!!!!!!!"

The pair also attended the 2025 ARIA Awards together.
