Models, singers and now Kim Kardashian: F1 icon Lewis Hamilton's star-studded dating history

Lewis Hamilton is the name on everyone's lips right now, and it's got nothing to do with the Formula One. 

The 41-year-old F1 driver has been romantically linked to reality star turned business mogul Kim Kardashian in recent days. 

The pair reportedly spent a romantic weekend in the Cotswolds in England, and they've since been spotted checking into a hotel together in Paris. 

Their rumoured romance certainly has everyone talking, but Kardashian is not the first high-profile woman the racing icon has been linked to. 

Over the years Hamilton, who has also built quite a career off the track, has dated former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, Rita Ora, Shakira and Kendall Jenner. 

But in July 2025 he revealed he had not been in a long-term relationship in close to a decade, admitting his career had taken priority.

"I look at the other drivers, and I wonder how they're doing it. Some are having kids, some married, most of them have girlfriends," he told RTBF.

"I really focused in ... particularly these last 10 years, [to] get everything I can out of my performance. Then, when I retire, I can do whatever I want."

Despite not having a serious relationship – in his words – over the last decade, he has been linked to some very big names.

Here, we take a look back at the race driver's dating and relationship history. 

Danielle Lloyd: 2002

Hamilton dated model and TV personality Danielle Lloyd for around six months in 2002.

The pair originally met at a nightclub, with Lloyd later explaining that's where sparks flew. 

"We were both out with friends, but there was a bit of a spark, and we swapped numbers," she told the Daily Mail in 2007, confirming they dated for six months.

"After that, I went back to Liverpool and he lived in London, but we stayed in touch."

Jodia Ma: 2003 - 2007

Hamilton and Ma met as students at Cambridge and dated for four years from 2003 to 2007.

Throughout their relationship they attended several events together, but ended up splitting.

Despite their relationship ending, Ma had spoken about his success in F1, and shortly after their breakup told the Daily Mail, "I know he will win the championship."

Nicole Scherzinger: 2007 - 2015

Hamilton's longest relationship has been with Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger.

They met at an MTV awards ceremony and started dating soon afterwards. They dated on and off for eight years, with rumours of an engagement in that time too.

"I'm devastated that it didn't work out. It was the hardest decision we had to make, but we made it together," Scherzinger said in a statement at the time of their breakup.

"I love Lewis, and I know he loves me. We wish nothing but happiness and the very best for one another.

"I'm trying to stay strong in my faith right now."

Rihanna: 2015

Rumours started to swirl that something was going on between Rihanna and Hamilton in August 2015 after he was spotted spending time on her yacht in Barbados.

The pair were also spotted partying together in New York, but Hamilton shut down speculation it was anything more than friendship.

"You know, I've known Ri for a long time," he told E! News.

"We've been friends for a while. We get to hang out every now and again but otherwise, we've just been friends."

Kendall Jenner: 2015

Not long after being linked to Rihanna, Hamilton ignited rumours something was going on with Kendall Jenner.

The driver and model were seen together on several occasions, but he did address the rumours of a budding romance, similarly shutting them down.

In an interview with E! News, he said, "Me and Kendall have been friends for a while, so we're just friends."

Rita Ora: 2016

Hamilton and Rita Ora were photographed together in May 2015 while attending an amfAR gala. A month later, they were both guests on the The Graham Norton Show.

Over the year they remained friendly, with Hamilton even celebrating the pop star's 25th birthday with her that November.

Romance rumours continued to swirl into 2016, when they were spotted enjoying several dinner dates.

In November, Ora was there to support Hamilton at the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix.

It seems things fizzled out between the pair, and neither has commented publicly on their rumoured relationship. 

Barbara Palvin: 2016

Hamilton wasn't only rumoured to date Ora that year – headlines also linked him to model Barbara Palvin.

The pair were photographed together while attending a L'Oreal party during Paris Fashion Week in March 2016, and sat side-by-side at an amfAR gala in May as part of the Cannes Film Festival.

Palvin also attended the F1 Grand Prix in Hungary later that year.

Over the next few months they were spotted together on several occasions, including the Venice Film Festival and London Fashion Week.

Winnie Harlow: 2016 - 2017

Winnie Harlow was another name thrown around with Hamilton in 2016.

The speculation kicked off when they were photographed together at the GQ Man Of The Year Awards in September that year.

In 2017, the duo were spotted hanging out in London, Cannes, Monaco, Monte Carlo, and Greece – but neither Harlow nor Lewis have ever confirmed or denied the relationship.

Sofia Richie: 2017

Hamilton also had a rumoured fling with Sofia Richie.

In 2017 the pair were papped looking close at Couture Fashion Week in Paris and rumours started to swirl that they were going on dates, but nothing more came of it.

Shakira: 2023

Shakira and Lewis hung out on a few occasions in 2023, and she even flew to Barcelona to watch him at the Spanish Grand Prix.

There were reports they also went out to dinner together after the race.

At the time, sources told People the singer and Formula 1 driver were keeping things "fun and flirty."

But later that month Shakira shut down any romance rumours, telling Rolling Stone she and Lewis were just "friends."

She added, "What space do I have for a man right now?"

Kim Kardashian: 2026

The most recent name Hamilton has been linked to is Kardashian, who he has been friends with for years.

In February, the pair reportedly "enjoyed an intimate dinner and a couples massage as part of a romantic weekend getaway in the country" a source told The Sun.

The rumoured couple spent time at Estelle Manor in the Cotswolds, where the reality star arrived via private plane and he via helicopter.

Tere's even more speculation of a romance after a video obtained by TMZ showed the pair exiting the same SUV as they arrived at a hotel in Paris, days after their country weekend.

The media outlet claimed Hamilton and Kardashian flew in together from the UK, further adding fuel to the rumours things have taken a romantic turn.
