Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's rarely seen daughter Kate hits up Coachella after confirming name change

Kate Madden went under the radar as she attended Weekend 1 of Coachella over the weekend.
The rarely seen daughter of Nicole Richie and Joel Madden headed to the festival with her pals, sharing snaps to social media.
The 18-year-old captioned the carousel of snaps simply "@Coachella" with a pair of lips.
In one photo she posed in the crowd wearing a cropped white T-shirt and jean shorts, finishing the look with a black headscarf.
Another outfit consisted of a black bikini top and denim mini skirt paired with biker style boots.
Some snaps included Kate with friends, while another gave a glimpse at Justin Bieber's headline set.
Mum Nicole commented, "Obsessed" with love heart emojis.

Nicole and Joel welcomed their daughter in January 2008, followed by son Sparrow, who is now 16, a year later.
The couple named her Harlow Winter Kate, but earlier this year The Simple Life star revealed her daughter had decided to "go by her middle name".
In a birthday tribute online, Nicole referred to her as "Kate" which sent the internet into a spin.
"Yeah, she goes by her middle name," she confirmed to People in January.
"She has her whole life."

Joel also opened up about their daughter's name change during an appearance on Bunnie Xo's Dumb Blonde podcast last month.
The Good Charlotte singer explained that Harlow decided to go by the middle name Kate when she was around age seven.
"She's been going by her middle name since she was in like, first grade," he explained.
"She chose it. She went to school, one day she came home, or we went to the open house night or whatever, and the teacher's like, 'Kate's doing great. She's so nice.'"
Joel recalled they were confused about who "Kate" was, until the teacher clarified that it was their daughter.
"They're like, 'Your daughter Kate. That's what she said her name was'. We're like, 'Oh, she's going by her middle name now?' And we went home, and we're like, 'You go by Kate at school?' And she goes, 'Yeah, I like it.'"
He said for them it wasn't a big deal and most people have known her as Kate since that time.
