"Hi everybody... I was just alerted to the fact that I'm separated from my husband, I didn't know, thank you, People Magazine," she said in a video posted to Instagram
"Thank you for letting me know, I was wondering if you would like to tell my children, they are also unaware."
The caption of the post reads: "Like I always say. If you don't hear it from me, don't believe the hype."

"Stay tuned, though! Who knows what could happen next?"
Pink and Hart, 50, share daughter Willow Sage, 14, and son Jameson Moon, 8.
The couple first met in 2001 at the Summer X Games, dating on and off again before they were married in 2006.
Two years later, the pair announced they had split and were heading for a divorce.
In 2009, they called off the divorce and reconciled their marriage.
At the time, Hart told People Magazine that the pair were "rebuilding."
"Sometimes you have to take a couple of steps backwards to move forward," he said.
Since then, the couple have been going strong, welcoming two babies and touring the world together as a family.
In 2018, Pink opened up about the "exhausting" task of touring while with her two young kids and husband in tow, admitting it wasn't easy – but she wouldn't have it any other way.
"Going on tour with children is really tricky. It's exhausting. It's the hardest thing I've ever done," Pink told Reese Witherspoon on Shine on with Reese.
"But I'm very, very fortunate that I get to bring my kids with me and that I kind of get to integrate them into my [work] life."
Six years ago, that same year, Pink also told Redbook magazine that she plans to stop touring her music as soon as her children demand it.
In 2023, the pair appeared on the Kelly Clarkson Show, where Hart was asked to share how he felt about the many songs Pink has written about him.
"You know, we've been together 21 years. I have very thick skin," Hart said.
"Very little affects me. I don't know exactly what day she's talking about, specifically. But it's probably just the temperature."
The following year, Pink got candid on Instagram, writing the couple almost didn't make it.
"Love is a lifetime of coming back to the table. We almost didn't make it to this one, well a couple of them, if I'm being honest."
"When I met you, 22 years ago, I just wanted someone who wouldn't lie to me," she wrote.
"I didn't have a clue about commitment, building a life together, intimacy, trust. It's
f-----g hard. But man, if I'm not humbled by the surprise of loyalty, history, forgiveness, and resilience.
"How love rearranges itself and reappears after an empty night or five. I'm proud we made it to the other side of this year. I wear our scars proudly. You are my stubborn, beautiful, immovable rock."
