Plot thickens on 'biggest name in entertainment' rumoured to take on Kyle and Jackie O's breakfast slot

Exclusive -- Dubai-based radio host Kris Fade has hit headlines this week after being tipped to take over Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson's coveted KIIS FM slot.

But an insider has now claimed that while the Aussie presenter would be a "perfect" replacement for the duo, it will come at a cost for the Australian Radio Network (ARN).

"Kris Fade is the biggest name in entertainment in Dubai. He's interviewed all the biggest names in Hollywood – Kim Kardashian, Will Smith... Smith actually helped him propose to his wife," a source told nine.com.au.

"He'd be great. But his family are in the process of building their forever home in Dubai from the ground up.Kris Fade and Brianna Fade in Sydney

"He'd have to be offered a huge amount of money – we're talking millions a year – to leave Dubai which he has called his home for so many years.

"But a lot of his family do live in Australia, so it would be a very attractive move for him – for the right price."

Lebanese-Australian host Fade moved from Sydney to Dubai in 2008, landing a job on Virgin Radio and taking the UAE by storm with his breakfast show, The Kris Fade Show.

Like The Kyle and Jackie O Show once was in Australia, the show is currently the biggest and most listened to radio breakfast show in the UAE.

Fade also featured in Netflix's reality show Dubai Bling alongside his wife Brianna Ramirez (now Brianna Fade).

The media personality is so famous in the Middle East that Madame Tussauds Dubai honoured him with a wax figure.

Industry veterans Jen Seyderhelm and Steve Ahern were the first to bring up the hot tip on the Radio Today podcast.

Seyderhelm told Ahern that during the global Radio Days summit in March, Fade was asked by presenter John Simons if he had been approached by the network following Sandilands axing.Jackie O complained to bosses about Kyle before on-air blow up

"Simons asked Kris whether or not he had been approached by ARN, and Kris said 'no comment,'" Seyderhelm explained.

"It gets better, that by itself is the same as Kyle stirring the pot, but before radio days, Kris' family moved to Sydney."

"And, Kris Fade is currently in Sydney... it might not be right away, but I think there is definitely something to see here."Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson

"He is extraordinarily talented and has many strings to his bow."

Fade's wife Brianna and his son have been seen in Sydney in recent days, only spurring on speculation.

Brianna posted photos of her and her son at the Sydney Royal Easter Show this week, while Fade himself shared a video of himself on the streets of Surry Hills.

ARN pulled the $200 million deal they had with Henderson and Sandilands following a now-infamous on-air blow-up on February 20.

Both parties have since filed separate legal action against ARN Media, with Sandilands arguing his termination was unlawful and that he be returned to work on the show for the remainder of his 10-year contract, due to end in December 2034.

Henderson, meanwhile, is now seeking more than $82 million in compensation from ARN after it tore up her contract.

The legal battle is ongoing, with Sandilands and Henderson set to appear in the Federal Court of Australia for separate case management hearings on Friday.
