Why radio boss predicts Kyle Sandilands will be 'back on the air' asap after explosive Jackie O exit

Kyle Sandilands is predicted to be "back on air" following his explosive radio breakup with co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson.

The host was suspended from The Kyle and Jackie O Show with the breakfast program taken off-air on Tuesday, leaving 700,000 weekly listeners wondering what was next for the legendary duo.

Wade Kingsley, radio executive and host of The Quarter Hour podcast, told the Today show he couldn't imagine a world "where Kyle is not a broadcaster".Wade Kingsley, Radio Executive and host of The Quarter Hour podcast weighs in on Kyle and Jackie O show on Today

"He's a father, he's a husband but he was born a broadcaster so I think any way that gets him back on the air as soon as possible whether it's with his current company or another one, I think that will happen," Kingsley said on Thursday morning.

Sandilands, 54, is alleged to be in breach of his contract for "serious misconduct" following his recent on-air behaviour prompting Henderson to resign from the hit breakfast show.

He was given 14 days to remedy the breach.

But where did that leave Henderson?

"Jackie will take time, I think Jackie has gotten to a stage in her life where she will decide what she wants to do," Kingsley added.Today.

"It won't be driven by money or other issues, it will be 'what feels right for me and where can I do that'."

"But don't forget they're the number on FM breakfast show in Sydney so there's 700,000 people a week who listen to them, who are also waiting on their next steps," he added.

Just yesterday, a radio boss who has previously worked extensively with Henderson and Sandilands claimed there was "zero chance" of reconciliation between the pair.Kyle & Jackie O

Craig Bruce, who was program director at 2DayFM during the radio duo's reign at the station, said "there were signs" it was over long before Jackie announced her exit on Tuesday over a fiery on-air clash last month.

"People working about the show, they would tell you that there was never a chance they would work to the end of their 10-year contract. It just wasn't going to happen," he told the Today show.

"They were two very different people, there wasn't a lot of communication between the songs which is always a bad sign."Will Kyle or Jackie O ever return to radio?

Bruce said the duo simply "evolved and drifted" over their 27 years working together and that the end of the show was understandable.

He predicted that Henderson might return to 2DayFM with her own show in future. The same however, couldn't be said about Sandilands returning to KIIS.

"The challenge for Kyle is that advertisers don't love him," Bruce explained.

"He is brilliant at his job. But it's complicated – he's got two feet with bullet holes in them from shooting himself so often."Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson

ARN Media confirmed Henderson's exit from the show on Tuesday afternoon after the host claimed she "cannot continue to work with" Sandilands.

It came days after Sandilands berated Henderson on air after she raised the topic of astrology and birth charts during a discussion about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

"Your fixation on this has made you almost unworkable," Sandilands said.

He said her fixation on astrology charts made her like a "drug addict", knowing Henderson has faced addiction struggles before.

"You are not doing the rest of the job, and everyone in this building has mentioned it to me."
